Calling your posts criticism doesn’t actually make them criticism or just automatically make them well-thought out/unbiased. Insulting or putting down characters/aspects in any way counts as hate. Even if you give reasoning, sounding biased and being rude/putting others down doesn’t really make you sound smart. Justifying hate as criticism is just as bad/close-minded as labeling criticism as hate.

Congratulations! This is easily one of the most retarded things i’ve ever heard on tumblr (which is saying a lot). Just because you’re too much of a pussy to accept the fact that your favorite ship isn’t perfect doesn’t mean it’s not true. Both Mako and Korra were terribly written characters and nothing can change that fact. I could rant for hours on how horrible these characters, and this show as a whole, were. But i’ll save us both the trouble.

Did you drop out reading Homestuck as soon as a Hipster stereotype was made?

Did you drop out when a Furry girl stereotype was made?

Did you drop out when a joke of a Social justice blogger, Gamer girl, Gamer guy, 50’s dude, mentally disabled or Weaboo stereotype was made?

A pimp, NBA player, or black guy with an afro are all stereotypes of the same! May you align this with a chauvinist hipster, 90s skater bro, or guy with a pointy anime shades? Didn’t you get the memo Hussie’s characters are each and every a cultural stereotype? Why does he need to tip toe around what are black stereotypes as he done with all the white stereotypes? Obviously you think white stereotypes don’t need that special treatment like you think the black stereotypes need, oh Social Justice Blogging OP? Obviously you weren’t offended by that, despite it being it your supposed stereotype. Yeah, Social Justice Bloggers “didn’t have the same indecent treatment in history”. 1. This is very condescending??? I’m not even a social justice blogger. This is probably the most moderate post about the whole topic. Everyone was writing essays about the lack of representation, and I just wanted to point out Hussie’s history with that.

2.  White stereotypes have never been used to discriminate, dehumanize, and kill human beings. Show me some hipster or furry oppression a la Uncle Tom’s Cabin and then we can talk. 

And so what? Black people deserve better treatment than furries? Grow the fuck up. Just because your grandfather was treated badly doesn’t mean you should make it your goddamn business to act like an uppity negro. I’m black and I don’t blame all my failures and shortcoming on “The White Man”. If something bad happens to me, it was because of me not because of the color of my skin. There, there, now. I know you’re upset. But I think that you are maybe not getting it? Nobody’s saying that non-white kids can’t act like the kids in Homestuck, but. They are coded really, really white. And it’s not because of the way they behave or dress. It’s because their names are all painfully white—which, yeah, there are quite a few people of color who have painfully white names (hey what’s up self).

On the other hand you also write the kids as having a family history in what looks like Ye Olde South, which—um, just. Do I have to say what’s questionable about presuming that Jane and Jake would’ve gotten along fine with their “relatives” back in the day if they weren’t white?

Just sayin’ yo, being color blind when it comes to race makes you blind to the nuances you have to see to understand race, not to race as a construct itself. So the end result of being color blind usually results in unintentional racism (as well as Hurt Feelings and Indignation because Dammit I Am Not Racist I Am Color Blind and Totes Liberal Okay??? Which means you don’t have to listen to the people who are telling you “dude there’s an issue here” even if those people are uppity negroes like me.)
